Squatting Half Split

This stretch is martial arts inspired. It is like a supported drop stance. With the elbow supporting the knee and keeping it aligned I can focus on stretching the groin. In this position I also like to roll the foot on to the heel to get a greater range of motion of the stretch.

Alignment points:

From feet spread shift your weight to one left and move that foot to a 45 degree angle. Place the hand of that side inside the foot of the bent leg and use your elbow to support your knee. Move the other hand accordingly to a comfortable position in relation to the other hand. The straight leg remains straight and rotating outward slightly. The foot can be in whatever position is comfortable. When you feel you have stretched enough just switch to the other side by walking the hands.
