Yoga term: none

This is a great stretch for the front of the hips and pelvis. Especially for people with tight hips like me and need to start simple. I don’t think it is an “official” Yoga pose but there are hundreds of poses. But really Yoga is about opening the body in whatever way is needed.

Alignment points:

Starting from the leaning forward variation of standing frog, rotate one of the hips towards your center and lift the foot. Try to contract the glutes of that leg along with the hamstring. Keep the lower back relaxed. The hands can be in a wider position for more stability. Keep chest forward and upper body relaxed.
